Trust and transparency
How Solar Unpacked works
Solar Unpacked is a new Irish solar directory and quote checker. The goal is simple: help homeowners understand grants, costs and installer options before they hand over personal details.
Directory listings
The directory starts from public business information, Google Places data and installer submissions. A basic listing is not the same as a verified recommendation. It becomes more useful when installers claim profiles, correct details and add evidence such as service areas, company references, photos and warranty information.
Every homeowner should still carry out normal checks before signing a contract: SEAI registration for grant work, electrical credentials, insurance, written scope, warranty terms, BER or grant paperwork and clear payment milestones.
How ordering and scores work
Solar Unpacked may use a directory score to help sort profiles. That score can consider public ratings, review volume, profile completeness, service relevance, location coverage and basic contact detail quality. It is a discovery aid, not a quality guarantee.
Paid plans can improve profile presentation or sponsored visibility, but paid placement should be marked or separated from editorial checks where it matters. Paying for a profile does not mean Solar Unpacked has inspected installations or guaranteed workmanship.
Google review snippets
Some listings show a small sample of public Google review snippets. These should link back to Google where possible. They are not Solar Unpacked reviews and they are not treated as proof that an installer is suitable for every home.
Quote requests and lead sharing
If you request installer matching, Solar Unpacked can review your enquiry and, where relevant, share it with up to 3 solar installers covering your area. The form asks for explicit consent before this happens. We do not sell your contact details as an unrelated mailing list.
The best Solar Unpacked lead should include county or Eircode, home type, electricity usage or bill, roof direction, shading, battery interest, timeline and whether you own the property.
Corrections and deletion requests
If a listing is wrong, if you own a business profile, or if you want personal enquiry data corrected or deleted, use the request page below. Directory data should be easy to fix.
